Hi everybody, welcome to this new experience of learning English! I hope you find it useful, productive and encouraging. But above all, I hope you improve your knowledge and discover new ways of learning through technology.

To begin with, I want you to answer the following questions:

Where are you from? Where do you live? What do you like about living there?

Who are the most important people in your life? Why?

How much time do you spend with your family or friends?

How do you normally find out news? on TV, on the internet or in the newspapers?

Why is learning English important to you?

Answer them in the best possible way and send your answers to my mail by Wednesday before 12:00 pm. Remember to include as many adjectives as possible to describe some of the things you will be talking about.

Then go to the following link and do the activity about family members that you will find there. Do the activity and send me your score. You can copy the page using the key "Impr Pant" or "Print Screen"  o your computer, and then paste it on paint or word, save it and send it to my mail on the same date as the previous activity. Make sure you include your name and send the two activities in just one mail.

Easily confused words

Hi there! ready to finish the first part of the Diplomado? a bit nervous for the next exam? I bet you are!

This is just a brief note to remind you of the activities you have to do for this final week. Do the exercises of your workbook pages 12, the whole page, page 13, just exercise 3, page 15 exercise 3. And you also have to do exercises 1,2 and 3 of the student's book about "easily confused words", and if it's possible, do this exercises of the student's book before you do the workbook. Also remember the writing on page 30 of your student's book. Send it using word please.

Hi everybody, How are you doing? I hope just great!. Ready to get down to working? I hope so. Well the first thing I want to remind you is about the writing task we have in the book page 18. Do it using "word" so that I am able to check it and make comments on it. Secondly, remember to do the reading activity on pages 22 and 23, and once again is up to you to scan it, or just send me your answers as you want, but on this occasion I also want you to find at least 3 expressions or key words that you think are the most important to do the activity, or the ones which were the most difficult for you to figure out and write the meaning here on the blog, the meaning can be either in English providing an example or in Spanish, but please write them here on the blog, I told you that sometimes to leave comments on blogs you need to have a google account so if you have any problems doing so, create a new email account to avoid having problems. One important thing, you have to pay attention to what your classmates have posted because you can't repeat the same expressions or words, ok? You can post your comments from today to this Thursday any time.

Then the next activity you have to do is this: click on the following link, to revise information on gerunds and infinitives I'm sure you will find this really helpful, and after that answer the exercises  1, 2 ,3 4, 5 and 6 you have in your book pages 24 and 25 .

Finally,  answer the last exercise we have on page 9 of your workbook about use of English part 3 Word formation.

Everything has to be sent to my mail on Thursday by 5 o'clock and as you know it's up to you how you want to send all your activities, but remember that the writing has to be done with "word" so that I can make comments on it.

What are you like?

Hi there! How are you doing? I hope just fine. How have you felt so far? Just fine, or a bit overwhelmed by all the activities we have to do during class and after class? I hope you don't give up and keep on working with enthusiasm. Sorry for posting your activities so late but I have had some problems with the blog.

Anyway, the first activity you have to do is what I told you in class, do the second part of exercise 1 page 17 about expressions with "luck" answer the exercise and send me just your answers or scan it and send it along with the small paragraph I asked you to do using 3 or 4 of the expressions we learned in class.

Secondly, do the exercises of the workbook I gave you. Reading activity: pages 4-5, Vocabulary: page 6, Grammar page 7. Once again it's up to you to scan all the pages and send them to my mail or just send me your answers for each activity. You can do this in word or in the body of the mail, as you want.

After that, download the following image, save it and open it with paint so that you can write your answers right there, then save it again and sent it back to my mail, or print it answer the two activities, scan it and send it back to my mail, or another option is just to write your answers and send them to my mail. Choose the one that is best for you. 

On this occasion, all you activities must be sent by Thursday before 5:00 o' clock. Please, make sure you send just  one mail with all the attached files, your name and the subject, so that I can identify you more easily.

Remember, send all you activities on time.

Hi dear students, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you with open arms to this new experience. We will be working together, and please feel free to ask anything you think it's necessary to help you learn. I know that it will take you a little bit to get used to working in this way, but never give up, you can do it!

To begin with, first, answer the exercises that I gave you last class and  scan and send them to my mail by this Wednesday before 2:00 o' clock pm. Remember the pages are 5, 9, 13 and 17.

Then, answer the exercises 1 and 3 on page 12 of the student book and the exercises 4, 5, 6 and 7 on page 13. Once again, scan them and send them to my mail by this Thursday before 2:00 pm

Finally, go to the following link to have extra practice on word formation, go to  number 1 "parts of speech" and click on the "online version" you will find 3 different exercises, do them and after finishing doing each of them copy your score, I hope you know how to do this! If you don't know how to do this, here you have a tip: just use the key "Impr Pant" of your computer and then paste it into paint or word and send these images to my mail. Send them by Friday before 2:00 pm

CAE use of English word formation


It's important to send your mails with the attached file clearly identified, your name and the name of the assignment so that we don't get confused.

If you want to send them all at the same time, it's ok, as long as you don't fall behind and meet the deadline of each of them. So see you and take care!

DIDEPA STUDENTS

Hi my dear students, I hope you are just fine and more than ready to start your vacations. As you know, we are about to finish this second part of the course. And to be better prepared for our final exam I just want you to do this last homework. First, remember you have to do the writing task on page 73 that we said in class, as well as the review and use of English on page 74. Send them both by this Wednesday before 2:00 pm. Remember, you have to scan the review and use of English.

Secondly, check the vocabulary about crime and social responsability on page 75, look at the crimes in the photos and say which punishment from the ones which appear right there, you think was given for each of them, write your opinion here on the blog before Wednesday 2:00 pm.

Finally, do the reading exercise on page 76 and 77 multiple matching exercise 3, scan it and send it to my mail on the same date.

Dear 9th level students

Hello my dear students. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. As I told you last Friday in class, I found a very interesting page on pronunciation. What I want you to do is:  visit the page and then record your voice repeating the same 6 sentences you will find there , the first time do it with proper enunciation and the second time with linked enunciation. I hope that by doing this you can improve your pronunciation. Bring you recording to class by this Tuesday or send it to my mail before classes on Tuesday so we can check it in class.
